I was walking around Taupo Lake not that long ago and it was a pretty great day apart from the boat rocking against gentle waves with the alarm going off. I was sitting on the grass trying to admire the view with this annoying sound going off just because the boat was gently rocking. None of the other boat seemed to be setting their security systems off but then that got me wondering if they had systems at all?If boats had a security system installed in them are there ones that would not be seat off with gentle rocking? Considering that boats are pretty much always moving there must be systems that can cater to the rocking movements; at least you would hope so anyway. This article was helpful in what you could do if you were looking for an alarm and the things to look out for in the process.
I always wondered how a security system would go off if installed on a boat. I’m guessing that when someone is onboard and a lock is broken too much movement on board? That is where the alarms get set off because of the waves and it would be difficult to distinguish the difference between waves and a person.
If you have a boat and it doesn’t have a security system then you should look at what is out there for boat protection. Although there might be something to stop people from driving them away, what about something to alert you if someone is on board trying to steal the gear from it? It would be interesting to see what is out there and what exactly it can do for your boats protection.
