Unexpected (false) alarm activations are very annoying and unnecessary for you and your family; unfortunately these activations may occur due to:

All of these can cause problems to your alarm systems and that is why yearly alarm services are of great importance to keep these occurrences from happening and to make sure your alarm system is healthy and operating to full specification.
We service all the main alarm brands. But if your alarm is one we are not familiar with we will recommend a company that can service it... so all your needs are met regardless.

There are different Alarm Service checks available at Garrison Alarm's.

• Standard Alarm Service – $159.00 incl. GST
• Automatic Annual Service – $128.00 incl.GST ( Special rate)
• Emergency after hours callout – $250.00 incl. GST

With the Standard Alarm Service, a registered experience technician completes a thorough check of all main alarm working components; at a specific time that is convenient for you. This check includes:

• System internals cleaned
• components all tested
• Adjusted (only if necessary)
• Cable Connections tightened
• Backup battery is load tested
• Sirens checked

All of these checks are to make sure that your alarm is in its best possible health. If there are any additions/alterations you would like made... they will be completed as well, however they would incur additional costs. Popular upgrades additions are:

• Additional sensors ( standard or pet friendly)
• Smoke detectors ( hardwired to the alarm, no batteries to worry about )
• Glass break detectors (mainly shops )
• Hand remote controllers (very very convenient)
• Door or window sensors
• Additional keypad
• New exterior siren (replace the old rusted one)
• Intercom Systems

If your alarm is having difficulties functioning then a Standard Alarm Service will usually sort out those issues that may be troubling your system.

The Automatic Annual Service is the same as the standard service but is completed every year on or near the alarm's birthday.
A technician is in a specific area to complete these services all on the same day. The savings in travel time then are passed on to you.

Emergency after hour's callout service is available, (although rarely used these days) for when your alarm system is screaming and will not stop. While expensive, (as the technician is paid a four hour callout) it is there as a back up, when such things as a power spike or lightening strikes occur and the alarm is seriously damaged, often covered by your home Insurance
